AISECT University (AU), Hazaribagh, Jharkhand — formerly known as AISECT University — was established in 2016 as India’s and Jharkhand’s first Skills University. It is the second higher education venture of the AISECT Group of Universities, which has emerged over the years as one of India’s leading higher education groups. Named after Nobel laureate Shri Rabindranath Tagore, the university aims to promote the overall cognitive development of its students by placing equal emphasis on skill development, personality growth, entrepreneurship incubation, liberal and performing arts, as well as sports and cultural activities. The university is recognized under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act and approved by the AICTE, BCI, and PCI. It is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU). All faculties at the university are equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure and technology to deliver quality education through practical, hands-on training.
