AISECT Jharkhand University was established by the AISECT Group of Universities in 2016 to provide skill-based, world-class education to youth in the rural and semi-urban areas of Jharkhand. While the university ensures accessibility through facilities like hostels and transport services, the affordability of quality education remains a significant concern for many.
To address this issue, the university offers scholarships in accordance with the guidelines set by the Government of Jharkhand, available through the Jharkhand Scholarship Portal. These scholarships are offered to students applying for admission to the university.
Scholarships are awarded based on merit, social category, and the type of course the student is enrolling in:
Applicants belonging to OBC, SC, and ST categories can apply for scholarships under this program based on their annual family income:
SC/ST students are eligible if their family income is below ₹2.5 lakh.
OBC students are eligible if their family income is below ₹1.5 lakh.
Applicants are required to submit an income certificate and caste certificate, both duly signed by the Tahsildar or an authorized official.
Students who have secured 85% or more marks in their HSC/SSC examinations are eligible for this scholarship. The scholarship may be disbursed either as a lump sum at the beginning of the program or in installments before each academic term. Special concessions are also available for candidates from economically weaker sections.
The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) provides a scholarship of ₹8,000 per month to GATE-qualified students. This financial support is aimed at helping them manage expenses during their postgraduate studies and thesis work, thereby promoting higher education in India.
Note:
A candidate eligible for more than one scholarship can only apply for and avail one scholarship program, subject to the approval of all required documents and the completed scholarship application form.

Attested copy of caste certificate, duly signed by the Tahsildar
Original income certificate, duly signed by the Tahsildar
Attested copies of SSC and HSC mark sheets
Attested copy of the final year mark sheet (for postgraduate applicants)
Printed and completed online application form from the Jharkhand Scholarship Portal
Attested copy of domicile certificate
Copy of bank passbook with clearly visible IFSC code
Attested copy of Aadhaar card
