Programme Overview

The Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) is a foundational 2-year program designed for individuals aspiring to enter the field of pharmaceutical sciences. This course provides essential knowledge of pharmacy practice, including subjects like pharmaceutics, pharmacology, and pharmaceutical chemistry. Upon successful completion of the academic coursework, students must undergo mandatory practical training. This internship consists of 500 hours of hands-on experience in a hospital or a licensed pharmacy. The training must be completed over a minimum duration of three months. It helps students apply their theoretical knowledge in real-life scenarios. This practical exposure is crucial for developing dispensing skills, patient counseling techniques, and understanding of drug interactions. The D.Pharm course is recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). After completing this program, candidates are eligible to register as pharmacists and work in various healthcare settings.
