One-Day Seminar Organized by AISECT University

From farmlands and village pathways to vacant plots in cities, the rapid spread of Parthenium weed (Congress grass) has become a serious problem for both farmers and the general public. In view of finding a solution to this issue, the Faculty of Agriculture at AISECT University observed Parthenium Awareness Week from 16th to 22nd August. During this period, awareness campaigns were conducted at various places in Tarwa, Hutpa, and Harli, where farmers were educated about the harmful effects of this weed.

On Friday, marking the conclusion of the week-long drive, a one-day seminar was organized at the Daroo Panchayat Bhavan, in which Mukhiya Sunil Kumar was the chief guest. On the occasion, Sunil Kumar appreciated the awareness initiative of AISECT University and said that the university’s consistent efforts to educate farmers are not only beneficial for advanced farming practices but are also showing a positive impact on crop yield. For this, he extended gratitude to the Vice Chancellor, Registrar, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Dean of the Agriculture Faculty, Heads of Departments, and other members of the university.
