The Department of Engineering and Technology at AISECT University, was established to promote research and education in various fields of education like Computer Science, Mining, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics, and Civil with Diploma Courses. The department continuously works to create a research-oriented environment for academics that can be propagated with an inclusive and innovative leadership with an aim to achieve great heights in the development and application of technology in the various streams of engineering.

The Department of Engineering and Technology has established AISECT University as one of the best engineering colleges in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand. It puts special focus on personalized and research- and skill-based training and education to the students with fully equipped labs, frequently conducted workshops, and more such facilities.

The Department, unlike many other engineering colleges in Jharkhand, has strong links and collaborations with the corporate, industrial and other institutions at both national and international levels.

Computer Science Engineering:

The department offers Diploma in Computer Science Engineering to give a holistic education and training to the students in the field of C.S. and I.T. The courses cover various domains like high performing computing, security, soft computing, computer network, Artificial intelligence, Computer system and network, Security, Human system interface, Graphics, Database system, Bioinformatics, Quantitative analysis, Programming languages, Study of algorithm and more.


Mining Engineering:

The department offers Diploma in Mining Engineering, Diploma in mining engineering set a level with a professional course. It gives the offers to the person about the stream of engineering. This course gets complete with duration of three years. The students having qualifications of the 10th class can join the diploma in mining engineering.
Here the candidates get information regarding theoretical as well as practical knowledge. It comes in terms of basic concepts of diploma in mining engineering. It covers subjects like extraction of natural minerals, computer application for mining, natural resources, and more.


Mechanical Engineering:

The department offers Diploma in Mechanical Engineering to prepare students for a bright career in their chosen field. The courses cover various fields like industrial machines and equipment, manufacturing system, heating and cooling systems, robotics, weapon systems, transport systems, etc.


Electrical and Electronics Engineering:

The department offers Diploma in Electrical and Electronics, increase the chances of employability and a bright future in their chosen field. The courses cover various topics like design and development of power systems and various electrical and electronic circuit, machines, and equipment.


Civil Engineering:

The department offers Diploma in Civil Engineering to the students to make their career in their chosen field. The course gives insights and detailed education in various aspects of civil engineering from design to construction, development to maintenance, and consultancy to management.

Programme: - Diploma (CSE)

Duration : - 3 Year

Eligiblity Criteria : -

10th With 45% marks in General Category and with 40% marks for SC/ST/OBC

Procedure : - On the basis of merit / AJEE

Programme Outcome : -

Engineering programmes are designed to attain the following program outcomes::

  • An ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science and engineering in practice.
  • An ability to identify, critically analyse, formulate and solve engineering problems.
  • An ability to design a system and process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as health, safety, security and manufacturability
  • An ability to devise and conduct experiments, interpret data and provide well informed conclusions.
  • An ability to communicate effectively
  • An ability to function professionally with ethical response ability as an individual as well as in multidisciplinary teams with positive attitude
  • An ability to appreciate the importance of goal setting and to recognize the need for life-long learning
  • To produce well informed socially responsible global citizen with sharp critical thinking skills having sound awareness about finance management, engineering laws and human rights, ethics and values.

Programme Specific Outcome : -

  • An ability to apply knowledge of mathematics and computing.
  • An ability to use appropriate techniques, skills, and tools necessary for computing practice.
  • An ability to apply mathematical foundations, algorithmic principles, and computer science theory in the modelling and design of computational systems in a way that demonstrates comprehension of the tradeoffs involved in design choices.
  • An ability to apply design and development principles in the construction of software systems of varying complexity
  • An ability to identify a problem, and analyse and define the computing requirements to find its solution
  • An ability to design, implement, and evaluate a computational system to meet desired needs within realistic constraints..

Programme: - Diploma in Mining

Duration : - 3 Year

Eligiblity Criteria : - 10th 45% General Category 40% (SC/ST/OBC)

Programme Outcome : -

  • Prepare students for careers in industry, academia, and government organizations by fostering in them the technical capabilities pertinent to mining engineering and interpersonal skills necessary to succeeding in their fields, as well as the foundation for lifelong learning.
  • Lead the way in mining engineering based research and other scholarly activities.
  • Provide technical knowledge, leadership, guidance, and support to industry, the government establishments, and the general public.

Programme Specific Outcome : -

At the end of the program the student will be able to:

  • Apply basic engineering mathematics to analyse complex engineering problems
  • Mining Geology, Mine Planning and Design.
  • Understand and practice professional ethics
  • Communicate effectively with peers and others.
  • Pursue life-long learning as a means of enhancing knowledge and skills for continuous professional advancement.

Programme: - Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Duration : - 3 Year

Eligiblity Criteria : -10th 50% for General Cat, 40% for Reserve Category

Programme Outcome : -

  • Student will demonstrate sound domain knowledge on wider perspective to become successful professionals
  • Student will demonstrate an ability to identify, formulate and solve thermal engineering problems.
  • Student will demonstrate an ability to conceptualize designs of thermal system or component and evaluate them to select optimal feasible solution considering safety, environment and other realistic constraints.
  • Student will demonstrate skill of good researcher to work on a problem, starting from scratch, to research into literatures, methodologies, techniques, tools, and conduct experiments and interpret data.
  • Student will demonstrate skills to use modern engineering tools, software and equipment to analyze and solve complex engineering problems.
  • Student will exhibit the traits of professional integrity and ethics and demonstrate the responsibility to implement the research outcome for sustainable development of the society.
  • Student will be able to communicate effectively to comprehend and write effective reports following engineering standards

Duration : - 3 Year

Eligiblity Criteria : -10th with 45% marks for Gen. and 40% for OBC/SC/ST

Programme Outcome : -

  • Student will have an ability to apply the basic knowledge of mathematics, science and engineering to real-life problems.
  • Student will be able to understand problem identification, formulations, and to conduct experiments, by analysis and interpreting the data.
  • Student will be able to design the experiments to evaluate the performance of engineering systems or component with respect to specifications.
  • Student will be able to design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability and sustainability.
  • Student will be able to improve the function effectively in engineering and science field, as well as in members of multidisciplinary teams.
  • Student will come to know the application of modern tools such as different computer software, modern instrumentation for understanding the limitations of engineering activities and also for the modeling and design of engineering systems.
  • Student will be able to understand the professional and ethical responsibility.
  • Student will come to know recognition of need for, and an ability to engage in, life-long learning.

  • Civil Engineering students will be able to function as design consultants in construction industry for the design of civil engineering structures.
