The Department of Zoology, under the Faculty of Science, was established in 2017 and is committed to the comprehensive study of animal science. The department explores the diversity, structure, function, behavior, ecology, and evolution of animals, providing students with a strong foundation in both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs designed to integrate classroom learning with hands-on laboratory work, field studies, and research projects. The department fosters a research-oriented environment, encouraging innovation and inquiry in areas such as ecology, physiology, genetics, entomology, parasitology, and conservation biology. Through seminars, workshops, and collaborative projects, students gain exposure to contemporary scientific developments and interdisciplinary approaches, preparing them for careers in research, wildlife management, education, healthcare, and environmental consultancy, as well as for higher studies in zoological and life sciences.
