ABOUT COMMERCE AND MANAGEMENT

Professionals with specialization in Commerce field are now a days in great demand. Commerce encompasses a wide area of knowledge in general business, accounting, banking marketing, finance, economics etc. UG and PG courses offered by the Department of Commerce at AISECT university University not only provides students with knowledge in above fields but also prepares them with managerial skills to handle difficult situations Students here get training on various software and develop their communication skill to enhance their employability potential. Case Studies, field projects and training visits provide them with the real life business exposure whereas large number of guest lectures, interaction with invited experts, seminars and conferences of national and international levels and extension activities conducted by the University, provide them with unique exposure for their holistic development. The department has large number of linkages with corporate and industrial organisations of repute. The department organises many value addition courses/activities which are beyond curriculum and touch upon the current happenings like GST, Demonstration, Digital Banking, New Ordinances etc. The curriculum in the department promotes research orientation. Research facilities and resources are good enough to motivate students for in-depth studies and research in fields like labour, finance, marketing, transport, international business, cooperation, corporate governance, e-commerce etc. The analytical and stimulating environments built in the department develop managerial and technical skill in the student as per the need of the corporate world.

  1. Apply knowledge will analyze and evaluate positions on economic issues,
  2. Showing that they can break an economic issue down into the various economic principles and concepts that form the basis of the position

  4. Specific knowledge will critique an economic position in terms of the accuracy of its representations of economic principles.

Program Outcome

As a result of completing this program, students should be able to

  1. Apply knowledge will use effective technology appropriately, such as PowerPoint, slides, posters, handouts, and transparencies in oral presentations.
  2. Apply knowledge skills and ethical perspectives relevant to core business areas, including marketing, statistics, financial accounting, management accounting, finance, economics, information systems, strategic management, organizational behavior, and commercial law
  3. Specific skill technical and quantitative aspects of management related to financial services, including the study of financial markets, financial instruments and investment decision-making, as well as the analysis of alternative methods employed by institutions and individuals to obtain, manage and use capital.
  4. Apply knowledge organizations and management processes, by showing that they can take a global perspective regarding accounting procedures and practices, for both descriptive and prescriptive purposes.
  5. Apply knowledge will work effectively in teams, by exhibiting the kinds of behaviors that mark an effective team member: working co-operatively with others, accepting divergent views, encouraging active participation of others, dealing productively with conflict, and taking leadership roles as the need arises.
  6. Apply that they can document clearly and precisely their own procedures of observation and research to satisfy both the client’s needs and the requirements of the legal system.
  7. This ability is especially important when explaining accounting information to lay audiences.
